“ A while back we had a new Indian restaurant (halaal) open up around the corner from my house. We were initially sceptical about ordering from Elaichi, as we always get dissapointed with the local Indian food spots we have. Well, we ordered a takeaway. I was brave and went straight for the hot lamb bunny. We also took a chicken and a lamb roti roll both medium strength, and a garlic naan just to taste. Amazing. We have not been that impressed with Indian food in a long time. Thisnplace completely bowled us over. The amount of meat in the bunny, the flavour theirof and the gravy. The roti rolls had a kinda salad in them which made it taste different but also good. We couldn't fault anything. It was all really tasty. Mine was definitely finger licking good Oh I forgot about the punjabi samoosa, that was ok. My mind has gone blank on the man that served me. “ We've been to this little complex on a previous visit, hoping to find a restaurant, but all we found are some dodgy shops. This time, we found Elaichi thanks to their huge signs. Anyway, we decided to eat in. The restaurant is not visually pleasing, but you can tell it's a startup hoping to bloom into a big business someday. The food, on the other hand, is on par with some of the other bigger Indian rest if not better and their prices are so reasonable. Our host (Imran) was so welcoming and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure our dining experience was unforgettable and that we would return. We ordered the chicken samoosa (punjabi style) and for mains we had the full chicken, which comes with chips and butter Naan, the host included his homemade lemon pickle (it was so good!), and we also ordered the Chicken Tikka masala curry which comes with sambles and rice. Overall, the food was so delicious. We enjoyed everything on our plate from the first bite to the last. We will definitely order again. ”
